Resides: Bama is being raised by a single mom who works as a day laborer making about $10 per month. Her mom has the opportunity to work because Bama attends preschool at Bridge of Hope. They live in a traditional mud home with a dirt floor, no running water and no locking door. The usually only eat two meals of injera and never eat protein such as meat and eggs due to their economic hardship.
