Interests: Amelak is being raised with her twin sister and two other siblings by her single mom as their dad has passed away. Her mom earns less than $10 per month and the family lives in a traditional style rental home. The home has no running water and no electricity. Her family is only able to eat one meal per day of injera bread, struggling day to day to have food. Both she and her twin sister Birte want to become doctors.
